Who we are

ZEUS AI ("we", "us") is a commerce intelligence service for online sellers operated at zeusseller.com. Contact: contact@zeusseller.com.

Data we collect

• Account data: your email address and login credentials when you create an account.
• Your shop data (with your consent): when you link your Etsy shop, by typing its name or by connecting it read-only with Etsy, we read information about your own shop and listings (titles, tags, prices, views, favorites and sales figures). We never write to your shop and never request buyer personal data. To confirm that a shop linked by name is really yours, when you press “Verify my shop” the ZeusLens extension reads, on your Etsy Shop Manager, the number of the Etsy account you are signed in with and the number of your shop, and sends them to ZEUS to compare with the owner Etsy shows for that shop. It does this only when you press that button.
• Sales files you upload (optional): if you upload the sales file Etsy lets every seller download (“Order Items” CSV), we keep only the product, quantity, price, date and the order and transaction numbers of each sale. The buyer details the file also contains (name, username, address) are discarded as the file is read and are never stored, and the file itself is not kept.
• Your questions to Zeus Help (only if you use it): Zeus Help is the support assistant you can open from the corner of the dashboard. When you write to it, we keep each question, the answer it gave, the screen you asked from and the language of the interface, linked to your account. Why: to answer you, and to find the questions people ask most and the ones the help could not answer, so we can improve it. Who sees it: only our own staff (the owner account) — never another customer. How long: 90 days, then it is deleted automatically, and at once if you delete your account. It is never used to train AI models. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing and improving support (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); if you prefer it not to be kept, write to us instead, or ask us to delete it at any time.
• Public marketplace data: aggregate statistics about products that anyone can see on the marketplace (competition counts, price ranges, favorite counts). This is information about products, not about you.
• Pages you are already viewing (ZeusLens browser extension): so that the extension can show you analysis of a product without making you wait for a second request, it reads the information Etsy already displays on the page open in your browser — the title, tags, price, rating, the number of reviews and favourites, the “X sold” count and how many shoppers have it in their cart — together with the structured product data Etsy publishes in that same page for search engines. It activates only on Etsy product, shop and search pages, never on any other website, and it reads nothing that is not already visible to you on screen. Nothing is read when you are not browsing, and we never read the page you have open on any other site.
• What Etsy shows on public pages, only if you switch it on (off by default). ZeusLens can also help build a shared picture of the marketplace: which listings appear for a search and in what position, whether a result was an ad, what a listing page shows publicly (its “X sold” count, carts and reviews), what Etsy’s own autocomplete suggests, and the “Top searches this week” list Etsy shows inside its search box — a list that is the same for everyone who opens it, never your own recent searches.
  • It is off unless you turn it on. There is a switch in the extension’s options and in your dashboard. If you never touch it, nothing is ever sent — not one request.
  • Only public pages. Search results, listing pages, shop pages. Never anything under /your/ — your cart, your favourites, your orders, your purchases or your messages are not read, and the extension does not even look at them.
  • It is not linked to you. What reaches us carries no account identifier. Your identifier is replaced by a code derived with a key we hold and a new one is generated every day, so it cannot be traced back to you and cannot be followed from one day to the next. It exists only so we can count how many different people saw the same thing on the same day.
  • Nothing is published unless at least 3 different people saw it. A single observation describes one person’s screen, so it is never served to anyone — not in the product, not in aggregate.
  • You can switch it off at any moment and it stops immediately. What was already aggregated cannot be un-mixed, because by then it no longer contains anything that identifies you.
  Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by turning the switch on and can withdraw by turning it off.
• Your IP address, in two moments only. Every request carries an IP address. We count requests per address for a few minutes so that nobody can brute-force a password or flood the sign-up form; that counter lives in memory and expires on its own. Beyond that, we record the IP address in exactly two events and no other:
  • when you accept our Terms while creating your account, and
  • when you sign in.
  Why: to detect abuse — mainly the same person opening several accounts to keep using the free plan, and automated sign-ups — to rate-limit the email verification code, and to have evidence of who accepted which version of the Terms if a payment is ever disputed. Legal basis: legitimate interest in preventing fraud and abuse and in keeping accounts secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long: 12 months, after which the address is deleted automatically. We do not record your IP on any other action: browsing ZEUS, running a search or opening a screen leaves no record of where you connected from. You can ask us for a copy or for deletion at contact@zeusseller.com, and you may object to this processing — note that we may keep the acceptance record where we have to prove consent to a contract.
• Public market trends from outside Etsy — nothing of yours leaves. To tell whether a niche is also growing beyond Etsy, ZEUS reads aggregated, publicly available trend data from external sources. Today that means Google Trends (Shopping) data, obtained through DataForSEO; the public trending hashtags of TikTok Creative Center, obtained through Apify; and Pinterest Trends, through Pinterest’s official API v5, read-only (currently paused). These are queries about keywords — “is this search term growing?” — and what comes back is aggregate market data, never anything about a person.
  • No information about you is ever sent. Not your name, not your email, not your account, not your shop, not your listings. ZEUS queries these sources with its own credentials, on its own schedule, and the request carries nothing that identifies you or any of our users.
  • We do not connect your social accounts. ZEUS never asks you to link a Pinterest or TikTok account, never reads Pins, boards or anyone’s videos, and never publishes anything anywhere on your behalf.
  • It is the same for everyone. What we read is market-wide, so it is not personal data at all — it is the same figure for every ZEUS user.

How we use it

• To show you your own shop's performance over time.
• To generate suggestions (SEO, pricing, timing) for your own products. AI suggestions are generated on demand from your data; we never use Etsy data to train AI models.
• To compute aggregate, anonymized market statistics.
• To discover niches from the tags of the listings analysed with the extension. Those tags are public on Etsy, and what we build from them is a ranked list of keywords shared by everyone using ZEUS — never a list of who looked at what. Each account gets a comparable say in that ranking regardless of how much it analyses, so no single account can steer it.
• To measure products from the same analyses. The figures Etsy prints on a listing page you asked us to analyse — its “X sold” count, how many shoppers have it in their cart, and whether Etsy marks it as a bestseller or as popular right now — also feed the market statistics every ZEUS user sees. They are facts about a product, not about you: what we store carries no account identifier, only the same daily code described above, and nothing is published unless at least 3 different people saw it. This is separate from marketplace sharing: here you asked us to read that page. What you merely pass by while browsing — which listings came up for a search and in what position — is never collected unless you switch that on.
• To run and support the service. Our own staff can see the record of analyses made with the extension, including which account made each one. We need it to answer «why does my panel show this», to spot abuse and to keep the service working. It is restricted to the owner account, and it is never shown to another customer.
• To keep our estimates honest — only if you say yes. ZEUS estimates how a listing is likely to perform. The only way to know whether those estimates are any good is to compare them with real outcomes. If you allow it, the overall relationship between views and sales in your shop becomes one more reference point in that comparison — as a single blended figure across shops, never as your individual numbers. That blended figure is used in the estimates every ZEUS user sees, which may include your competitors, so it is a separate decision from connecting your shop: the setting starts off, you turn it on yourself in Settings, and you can turn it back off at any time. Turning it off stops your contribution from the next calibration onwards; averages already computed cannot be unmixed, in the same way a vote cannot be removed from a published result. Two further safeguards apply: we publish no measured figure at all unless at least five shops are included in it, and below that threshold the product falls back to a published market assumption instead. Your listings, your prices and your sales are never shown to another user.

What we never do

• We never sell your data, and we never share it with anyone outside the service providers listed below.
• We never write to your shop, the service is strictly read-only.
• We never store buyer personal information, and we never request it from Etsy.
• We never read your cart, your favourites, your orders or your messages — anything under /your/ on Etsy is off limits to the extension, whether or not you switched on marketplace sharing.
• We never record which searches you ran. Marketplace observations are stored without any account identifier and cannot be traced back to a person.

Service providers we rely on

Running ZEUS requires a small number of companies that process data on our behalf and under contract. They may only use it to provide their service to us. This is the complete list:

• Oracle Cloud (USA) — hosting and database. It holds everything the service stores, including your account and your shop data.
• Anthropic (USA) — written analysis and image understanding. It receives listing titles, tags and descriptions, and product images when you ask for a design analysis; and, when you use Zeus Help, the questions of that conversation together with the name of the screen you are on, so it can write the answer. It does not receive your account details, and never buyer information.
• DataForSEO (Lithuania) — search-volume and Google Trends data. It receives only the keyword text being researched.
• Apify (Czech Republic) — reads TikTok Creative Center’s public trending hashtags for us. It receives only a country and a period; nothing about you or any user.
• Stripe (USA/Ireland) — subscription payments. It receives your email and payment details; we never see or store your card number.

If we ever add or replace one of them, we will update this list before the change takes effect.

Pinterest is not on this list on purpose. It is a source we read, not a provider that processes anything for us: we query its public trend data and send it nothing about you. See “Public market trends from outside Etsy” above.

Storage and security

Data is stored in our own cloud infrastructure (Oracle Cloud), encrypted in transit (TLS) and with access restricted to authenticated sessions. The credentials that connect your shop are additionally encrypted at rest, with the key held outside the database, and they are never exposed to browsers or to third parties. Disconnecting an Etsy connection revokes our permission with Etsy, not just our copy of it, and unlinking a shop linked by name removes its history and the sales you uploaded. The application itself connects to the database with an account limited to reading and writing rows: it cannot alter or delete the database structure.

Retention and deletion

We retain your shop data while your account is active so we can show you historical trends. You can unlink or disconnect your shop at any time and request full deletion of your stored data by emailing us; we will complete deletion within 30 days.

Deleting your account deletes your data. When an account is removed, we erase it together with everything attributable to it — your analyses and snapshots, your shop history and sales, your usage records and your Copilot and Zeus Help conversations — in a single operation, and we revoke our Etsy permission with Etsy if you had connected it. Public market data (listings, shops, keywords and trends that anyone can see) is not personal to you and is not part of your account.

Automated retention. A scheduled job on our server enforces the limits below. These are the actual values our code uses, not aspirations:

• Unfinished shop connections — deleted after 1 day. They hold a one-time security value from the authorisation flow, so the shorter the better.
• Cached listing and keyword data — deleted after 90 days without use.
• Sales you uploaded — kept while your shop stays linked; removed when you unlink it or delete your account.
• Cached search-volume data — 180 days.
• Cached report translations — 365 days. They regenerate on demand.
• Job and diagnostic logs — 180 days.
• Usage and cost records — 400 days, so year-over-year comparisons remain possible.
• IP addresses of Terms acceptance and of sign-ins — 365 days (12 months). After that the address is deleted and only the event remains. These are the only two places an IP is written down; see "What we collect" above.
• Your Zeus Help conversations (each question to the support assistant and its answer) — 90 days.
• Your research signals (the niche terms you explore in the Niche Finder, the Researcher and ZeusLens's Keyword Research — only the term, never the results) — 180 days. They refine the recommendations for your shop and can be switched off at any time in Settings.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You are in control of your data. At any time you can:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: ask us to delete your account and all associated data (completed within 30 days, as described above).
• Portability: receive your data in a common, machine-readable format (the dashboard already offers CSV export of your datasets).
• Withdraw consent: unlink or disconnect your shop at any time; an Etsy connection is revoked with Etsy immediately.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@zeusseller.com. We will respond within 30 days and will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these rights are provided under the GDPR and you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are a California resident, equivalent rights apply under the CCPA/CPRA: and, as stated above, we never sell your personal information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
