ZEUS AI ("we", "us") is a commerce intelligence service for online sellers operated at
zeusseller.com. Contact: contact@zeusseller.com.
Data we collect
Account data: your email address and login credentials when you create an account.
Your shop data (with your consent): when you connect your Etsy shop
through Etsy's official OAuth flow, we access read-only information about your own shop
and listings (titles, tags, prices, views, favorites, and, if you grant it, your own
sales figures). We only request read-only permissions and never request buyer personal data.
Public marketplace data: aggregate statistics derived from publicly
available listing information retrieved through the official Etsy Open API v3
(competition counts, price ranges, favorite counts).
Pages you are already viewing (ZeusLens browser extension): so that
the extension can show you analysis of a product without making you wait for a second
request, it reads the information Etsy already displays on the page open in your browser
— the title, tags, price, rating, the number of reviews and favourites, the “X
sold” count and how many shoppers have it in their cart — together with the
structured product data Etsy publishes in that same page for search engines. It
activates only on Etsy product, shop and search pages, never on any other website, and
it reads nothing that is not already visible to you on screen. Nothing is read when you
are not browsing, and we never read the page you have open on any other site.
Your IP address, in two moments only. Every request carries an IP
address. We count requests per address for a few minutes so that nobody can brute-force a
password or flood the sign-up form; that counter lives in memory and expires on its own.
Beyond that, we record the IP address in exactly two events and no other:
when you accept our Terms while creating your account, and
when you sign in.
Why: to detect abuse — mainly the same person opening several accounts to keep
using the free plan, and automated sign-ups — to rate-limit the email verification code,
and to have evidence of who accepted which version of the Terms if a payment is ever
disputed. Legal basis: legitimate interest in preventing fraud and abuse and in
keeping accounts secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). How long:12 months,
after which the address is deleted automatically. We do not record your IP on any other
action: browsing ZEUS, running a search or opening a screen leaves no record of where you
connected from. You can ask us for a copy or for deletion at
contact@zeusseller.com, and you may object to
this processing — note that we may keep the acceptance record where we have to prove
consent to a contract.
How we use it
To show you your own shop's performance over time.
To generate suggestions (SEO, pricing, timing) for your own products. AI suggestions
are generated on demand from your data; we never use Etsy data to train AI models.
To compute aggregate, anonymized market statistics.
To discover niches from the tags of the listings analysed with the
extension. Those tags are public on Etsy, and what we build from them is a
ranked list of keywords shared by everyone using ZEUS — never a list of who looked at
what. Each account gets a comparable say in that ranking regardless of how much it
analyses, so no single account can steer it.
To run and support the service. Our own staff can see the record of
analyses made with the extension, including which account made each one. We need it to
answer «why does my panel show this», to spot abuse and to keep the service working. It
is restricted to the owner account, and it is never shown to another customer.
To keep our estimates honest — only if you say yes. ZEUS estimates
how a listing is likely to perform. The only way to know whether those estimates are any
good is to compare them with real outcomes. If you allow it, the overall relationship
between views and sales in your shop becomes one more reference point in that comparison
— as a single blended figure across shops, never as your individual numbers. That blended
figure is used in the estimates every ZEUS user sees, which may include your
competitors, so it is a separate decision from connecting your shop: the setting
starts off, you turn it on yourself in Settings, and you can turn
it back off at any time. Turning it off stops your contribution from the next calibration
onwards; averages already computed cannot be unmixed, in the same way a vote cannot be
removed from a published result. Two further safeguards apply: we publish no measured
figure at all unless at least five shops are included in it, and below
that threshold the product falls back to a published market assumption instead. Your
listings, your prices and your sales are never shown to another user.
What we never do
We never sell your data, and we never share it with anyone outside the service
providers listed below.
We never write to your shop, the service is strictly read-only.
We never access or store buyer personal information.
Service providers we rely on
Running ZEUS requires a small number of companies that process data on our behalf and
under contract. They may only use it to provide their service to us. This is the complete
list:
Oracle Cloud (USA) — hosting and database. It holds everything the service
stores, including your account and your shop data.
Anthropic (USA) — written analysis and image understanding. It receives
listing titles, tags and descriptions, and product images when you ask for a design
analysis. It does not receive your account details, and never buyer information.
DataForSEO (Lithuania) — search-volume data. It receives only the keyword
text being researched.
Stripe (USA/Ireland) — subscription payments. It receives your email and
payment details; we never see or store your card number.
If we ever add or replace one of them, we will update this list before the change takes
effect.
Storage and security
Data is stored in our own cloud infrastructure (Oracle Cloud), encrypted in transit
(TLS) and with access restricted to authenticated sessions. The credentials that
connect your shop are additionally encrypted at rest, with the key held outside
the database, and they are never exposed to browsers or to third parties. Disconnecting
your shop revokes our permission with Etsy, not just our copy of it. The application
itself connects to the database with an account limited to reading and writing rows: it
cannot alter or delete the database structure.
Retention and deletion
We retain your shop data while your account is active so we can show you historical
trends. You can disconnect your shop at any time (which revokes our access) and request
full deletion of your stored data by emailing us; we will complete deletion within 30 days.
Deleting your account deletes your data. When an account is removed, we erase
it together with everything attributable to it — your analyses and snapshots, your shop
history and sales, your usage records and your Copilot conversations — in a single
operation, and we revoke our Etsy permission with Etsy. Public Etsy market data
(listings, shops, keywords and trends that anyone can see on Etsy) is not personal to
you and is not deleted: it is part of the market intelligence the product is built on.
Automated retention. A scheduled job on our server enforces the limits below.
These are the actual values our code uses, not aspirations:
Unfinished shop connections — deleted after 1 day. They hold a
one-time security value from the authorisation flow, so the shorter the better.
Cached Etsy listing and keyword data — deleted after 90 days without
use. It exists to avoid re-asking Etsy; once stale it saves nothing.
Cached search-volume data — 180 days.
Cached report translations — 365 days. They regenerate on demand.
Job and diagnostic logs — 180 days.
Usage and cost records — 400 days, so year-over-year comparisons
remain possible.
IP addresses of Terms acceptance and of sign-ins — 365 days (12
months). After that the address is deleted and only the event remains. These are the
only two places an IP is written down; see "What we collect" above.
Historical market series (daily snapshots of niches, shops and trends) are kept
indefinitely: they are observations of public data that cannot be re-taken later, and
they are what the product's intelligence is made of.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You are in control of your data. At any time you can:
Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion: ask us to delete your account and all associated data
(completed within 30 days, as described above).
Portability: receive your data in a common, machine-readable format
(the dashboard already offers CSV export of your datasets).
Withdraw consent: disconnect your Etsy shop at any time, which
immediately revokes our OAuth access.
To exercise any of these rights, email
contact@zeusseller.com. We will respond within
30 days and will never discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are in
the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these rights are provided under the GDPR
and you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are a
California resident, equivalent rights apply under the CCPA/CPRA: and, as stated above, we never sell your personal information.
